Administration
Dickerson Engineering is experienced in design and project coordination. Our staff will work as a team with the client and all consultants involved to avoid potential field misunderstandings and project delays.
Network Equipment
Routers, hubs, bridges, concentrators and servers are some of the devices needed for a local area network (LAN). DEI's information systems department can assist you in the development of a RFP (request for proposal) which can be bid by various vendors and will incorporate your organization's requirements.
Mechanical Work Package
Some clients may find it more comfortable to include the Electrical/Mechanical under one contract. DEI offers this option with our mechanical associates working under the electrical consultant. Our mechanical associates have worked in concert with DEI for over 25 years.
Data Wiring Systems
Voice/Data cabling systems must provide quality, flexibility and function not only for current needs but also to meet future requirements. Systems need to be designed to support multi-product, multi-vendor environments and should also incorporate the TIA/EIA guidelines. DEI can help you sort through the many types of cables and cabling configurations to assemble cabling documents to provide a better infrastructure that is adaptable to this ever changing technology.
Energy Conservation Studies
The rising cost of energy has put a major burden on the operating expenses of every industrial and commercial enterprise. Electrical energy conservation is and will continue to be, one of the major concerns of the construction industry. DEI will analyze all relevant data to design the most affordable and efficient energy saving system for all project.
Short-Circuit Analysis/ Point-to-Point
DEI has computer based customized programs to provide point-to-point lighting calculations for interior/exterior lighting levels as well as short circuit analysis of the electrical distribution system.
Design Documents
Dickerson Engineering offers a complete package of design services pertinent to the electrical design of each project. Our approach is to design a system to compliment the character of the building, comply with present codes, and include the clients' individual design criteria. Design Documents Include: detailed working drawings, electrical specification, coordination meetings and full construction administration services including review of shop drawings and site observation trips with written reports.
